Reading Outfit

If you're anything like me you can't longe around in jeans. To wb honest I no longer wear jeans, they're uncomfortable. But I found a pair that work for me and I can longe in them! Technically they're not jeans as they're corduroy. I got them a few years ago from urban outfitters men's section. If I'm remembering correctly they're advertised as pyjama jeans. Weird. But for the days I'm super tired and don't want to use energy on getting dressed I can just pull these on with no issues as they're elasticated waist. They're also okay if I fall asleep in them too. So in short, this is a comfy outfit I can read in and looks like I made an effort.

Also the book I'm holding in this photo, I loved it. As well as the first one. I've got the last one to read at some point then I might review them all at once.

Spooky Reads For Spooky Season

Its October and that of course means reading some spooky books! I'm doing a reading challenge for this. I'm doing the horrorween highway by Murder They Readathon. This is the first reading challenge I've done and I'm quite excited for it. Its one book a week for the month. I've choosen;

  1. WITCH by Iain Ron Wright
  2. The Cellar by Richard Layman
  3. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
  4. Tunnel Of Bones by Victoria Schewb
If I finish all four I'll add more to it. Possibly do their other pathway which is a dark academia one.

I tried not to buy any new books to do this but I struggled with the first promo which is around a friend group, i couldn't think of any on my TBR that was horrorish and around friends. so I bought Witch. I also bought the Cellar but I got it on the community shelf in my local tesco and the money goes to charity, I've found some good books on there. Frankenstein I've always wanted to read and this is a kick to actually get to it. I know it'll be a slow read since it was written in 1818, so I plan on audiobooking and reading at the same time. Tunnel of bones in the second in a 3 part series and I loved the first one so no doubt I'll like this one too.

You can follow me on Instagram to see how I get alone. Also for mini reviews. @helloemski

Wicked Fox - Reading In The Sun | Outfit & Mini Book Review

We all know it's currently to hot to think about what to wear.

Lately i've just been throwing on the same few tshirts and light trousers. The baggier the trousers the better.

I do prefer to wear tops that i can just knott at the side, that way i can decide how short i want the top and if it gets chilly i can just pull it down again. Though i do love crop tops and they're great for this heat!

I've been wearing this High Priestess of Witching It tee so much lately. Its lose, baggy and very soft.
No brain power for thinking of what to style it with, so i just put on my pentagram earrings and chain belt.

I was reading Wicked Fox and i loved it. If you're a fan of K-dramas then you'll probably like this too.

Set in Seoul, Gu Miyoung is a gumiho, a nine-tailed fox who must devour the energy of men in order to survive. If you know anything about korean folklore you've probably heard of a gumiho before. I remember watching a k-drama in the past with a gumiho. I think it was called my girlfriend is a gumiho.

The book kept my interest for the most part, it was pretty fast paced to start with. It did lul in the middle a bit, but it picked up again. There's a cute love story without it been over the top and too squishy. I'm not usually one for romance stories. It's well written, easy to follow and enjoyable, so much so i bought the second one when i was only half way though this one.
