Beating The Cold | Outfit

The day I went to the Christmas market was cold and snowy. As much as I love the snow the cold wasn't going to beat me.

I layerd up under this lined denim jacket to keep warm. What you can't see is I'm wearing a thin cardigan and a hoodie underneath. The top I'm wearing is cotton so it keeps me warmer than a normal t-shirt. I'm wearing the thickest winter tights I own with a pair of socks over the top to keep my legs warm. I however couldn't do d my black gloves so had to go with those ones that don't really match. But at least i was somewhat warm despite the cold cold weather.

Alternative & Gothic Gift Guide

Alternative Xmas Presents

It's almost time for Christmas with only less than 2 weeks to go. Don't know what to buy the spooky lover? As with every year i always ask for something spooky related, i can't help it. It is however easier to shop for these around Halloween, but if you forget then not to worry. You could always buy them something from killstar, I'm always wanting something from them at most of the year, they have a variety of items to gift other than clothes too.

Could always opt to buy them something by sourpuss, i love a lot of their home items but always get around to finding them when they go out of stock.

Any of the items from above i would love to receive, and I'm sure and lot of spooky lovers would to. Heck i already own the moon bag because i couldn't resist it. That bat pin is calling me because it's so darn cute! Anything with a bat on i fall in love with.

And when in doubt some cute dark socks will always do the trick! Along with mugs, who can ever own enough mugs?

What I Actually Packed | Travel

Goth Travel Outfits, Gothic Packing, Alternative Fashion, Nugoth Travel,

Goth Travel Outfits, Gothic Packing, Alternative Fashion, Nugoth Travel,

In the end this is what I ended up taking for 4 nights away. As you can see the backpack I was using is pretty small. However it did fit everything I needed. I knew I'd have to carry it around Hull with me all day before I got on the ferry so I didn't want a big one.

Clothes and accessories I took:
Some items can't be seen in the photos like a cardigan and tights.
  • H&M Shorts
  • Disturbia vest
  • Disturbia forest dress
  • Asos black slip dress
  • Killstar banchee shoes
  • Restyle branches necklace
  • Mysticum Luna pentagram belt

Toiletries:
  • The body shop camomile makeup remover
  • Yes to cucumbers face wipes
  • Superdrug face mask
  • Sanctuary spa face wash and stop the clock face cream
  • Batiste mini dry shampoo
  • Bleach london shampoo and conditioner
  • Toothpaste and mouthwash
I had my makeup in my everyday back, which only consists of concealer and eyeliner.

To save space roll clothes instead of fold. This is a handy tip when packing for a long holiday. It saves space and you can fit more in. Also to save on the amount you take and to stop over packing create outfits and take those instead.

For example I picked necklaces etc that I knew would go with all the outfits I packed.
I knew i was going for 4 nights so i packed 4 outfits. It doesn't look like it but i cam put the vest over one of the dresses to create a slightly different outfit, probably for travelling back home.

The day I was packing and taking these photos the lighting wasn't so great even though I was in front of a window with sun light pouring in.

Rush | Outfit

NuGoth Gothgoth Ribcage outfit

This day i had to leave the house in a rush, i had about 30minuites to get dress. Clearly with that short a time to get ready i didn't have much time to think about what to wear. I went with a trusty rub cage print top and shorts. Because it was still a bit chilly that day i added the knee high socks, which i think looks pretty cool.

My hair is looking less green in these photos, though that could be because of the back ground. I can't wait to get my hair freshly died just before my holiday. Same colour but i might do my roots a actual blue colour, if it works that is. I'll post about it if it does. Using Manic Panic as that's pretty much the only dye that works on my hair.

Highgate Cemetery | Outfit

Killstar Pentagram Skirt Outfit, Nugoth, Goth

This is an outfit i wore when i was down in London just wondering around. We ended up going to Highgate Cemetery and a few other places which were mostly museums.

I do love this killstar skirt, it's made of a super soft velvet and it looks so cool! Even though it's now summer i intend to wear this skirt more even though it's velvet. Possibly not on the extremely hot days, if they came back again.

What I Wear For Work | Nu Goth Outfits

NuGoth Work Outfits

NuGoth allows me to show my dark side even at work. And lets be honest i'm pretty lazy and NuGoth helps with that. As much as i love the big Victorian style dresses they just aren't suitable for sitting in the office all day. And i have to adhere to some dress code. I'm pretty lucky in my office that i can have my hair dyed any colour (Green hair wooh) and pretty much wear what i want within reason. NuGoth to me is taking "Gothic" symbols and items such as the skull and adding it to modern tailoring. Hence why i love killstar so much, and sometimes looks "witchy"

The above outfit i can wear with so many different tops and shoes and appear to be a different outfit, or i'd switch the skirt out for a maxi skirt.  I love how the skulls match nicely with the moons. I added my paint splatter dr martens to keep within the black and white theme.

This outfit is properly one of my more "grown up" looking outfits. Simple black dress with mesh over it, adding some printed tights so the outfit doesn't appear to flat. With these type of outfits it's easy to accessorise in many different ways. Since it was still pretty chilly i added the scarf for a bit of texture and comes in handy during the windy periods of the day.

This is a outfit i use many times at work. I throw on a crop top over a plain strappy black dress. It's easy to put on in the morning and is comfy for the whole day. Sometimes i even put on a standard t-shirt and tie it at the side so it gives the illusion that it's a crop top. Otherwise with this dress i'd just look like i was wearing a lot of fabric.

The top outfit is probably my favourite, i  wore the skirt a lot when i first bought it and i love the cardigan! How do you feel about NuGoth?
